Dear Colleagues,
This is a response I received on my query on how to cite a website obtained from a
subscription database, and it came from the staff at NetTrekker.

"...The answer is that you cite them as you would site any other website, not
recognizing netTrekker in the citation in any way. This is because
netTrekker is technically a directory, not a database. We neither create nor own
the content of the websites we point to. We simply provide evaluations of sites,
then point users to those sites on the web. The only reason users would ever need
to actually site netTrekker would be if they quoted one of our evaluations, and I
can't imagine anyone wanting to do that."

One other person confirmed this with the short of it being, when you click on a
website given in a database, you are then going outside that database for the
information.

Thanks to those of you who replied and I hope this clears up the issue for those
interested or concerned as well.
