But knowing we had quite a few openly gay/lesibian students gave me the courage to start ordering a few titles. I beefed up the non fiction titles for research and have stopped "deselecting" or hesitating because of gay content for fiction. I've received only positive comments from those who've discovered any of the fiction books. I'm sure there are some parents out there somewhere who'd object. I figure I will cross that bridge when and if the time comes they actually do. I can't let the fear of a possible challenge be my automatic stop point as there's someone out there to object to probably half the books we own. If it is a quality book that can stand on its own otherwise, chances are it COULD survive a challenge. So let 'em come. J.
