Good morning all, As I understand it, libraries are to provide for all patrons. If a book receives good reviews and is geared toward an age level I serve, I try not to pass judgement on it's topic. No librarian can know what is going on in every single student's household. There are some books in my library that I would not take home for my child to read, however, it's not my place to make that decision for every child. My job is to provide quality books of ALL types for my students. That includes topics on gay/lesbian issues. That way every child and every family has a choice in what books are read.
