Hello, everyone:

One of my teachers would like to re-read a book which she read about 10
years ago. It was about a soldier who adopted 5 children of different
heritages. He later became a Methodist minister and brought the
children to a New England town which was not accepting of them.

Does anyone know this book? I looked in Access PA, and Novelist with no
results. The teacher thinks the word innocent or innocence was in the
title.
You can respond privately at address below.

Thank you in advance.
