Hello. Our school would like to use a book that is out of print as a textbook for our learning disabled students. The teacher talked to Peter at Ave Maria Press who said that because the book is out of print (1982 copyright), the publisher no longer has the copyright, we would need to check with the author. She further investigated and found that there is a memorial fund for the author so we are assuming he is dead. Therefore, I am assuming that it is perfectly fine to make 25 classroom copies, right? What would I put on the title page so that parents know we did this legitimately? Thanks in advance for your help.
