I have a list of information about purchasing movie rights for the library.

Disney [818-567-5058] offers a one time use for $25.00 [50 kids or
less] on movies. They also offer deals monthly, and yearly.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation offers an 'umbrella license' that
offers unlimited use of their motion picture titles within the licensed
facility. Usually a one year license, for an annual fee. It is based
on population of your city, and the number of patrons at the library.
For a population of 5200, the cost is $190 per year. They offer movies
by over 100 producers and distributors. [800-462-8855] www.mplc.com

Movie Licensing USA offers many producers, including Disney, offers a
yearly license based on population and patrons as well. They seem to
have more well known studios such as Warner Brothers, Dreamworks, MGM,
Paramount, United Artists, Columbia, Tri-Star, Touchstone and Universal
as well as others. [888-267-2658]www.movlic.com

Criterion of Canada, offers a one year license, and enables you to
charge admission. They do have studios such as Warner Bros., Fox, Sony,
Columbia, and many others. They are online at
http://www.criterionpic.com I don't have a phone number for them.
There are additional fees for shipping and handling. www.criterionpic.com

Last but certainly not least, each of these websites have very detailed,
explicit information on copyright use of movies..........they very
clearly state the how, what, when and why of legal video showing [even
within a teaching environment]. So if you need clarification or printed
information for that teacher who just thinks it will be 'ok this once',
you may find information to help them understand that 'this once' is
illegal.
