Like many libraries, we use Ebsco or other jobbers to set up and renew
magazine subscriptions. Even so, we get tons of renewal notices, since the
publishers apparently don't know that we don't subscribe directly through
them.
One fraudulent company that has been harassing us to renew is "Publishers
Processing Service, Inc." also known as "Global Publication Service." – they
change their name and locations. I called U.S. Catholic, a magazine that we
get, and they told me that it is a scam. I assume they have reported this
to the proper authorities.
Be careful not to respond to any renewals from this fake company.
