LM_NET Archive

Dear LM_NET Colleagues,

We strongly encourage LM_NET members to use subject headings in
order to assist members in managing the large volume of LM_NET mail.
And if you use a well-chosen subject, it is less likely that your
message will be mistaken for spam and deleted without having been
read. A good subject descriptor helps others sort their mail and
to skip messages in which they have no interest.

Please try to use one of these terms at the beginning of your subject
line when posting to LM_NET, followed by a more precise description of
your particular message content.

Currently Available LM_NET Subject Keywords Are:

TARGET: request for information to be compiled for a HIT:
HIT: the compiled information from the TARGET request
ADMIN: restricted for official messages from the listowners
        GREET: for requests for greetings
TECH: for PC & MAC software & hardware discussions
REF: requests for all types of reference questions
GEN: anything that doesn't fit the other categories
         JOBS: postings of job vacancies
ELEM: postings for kindergarten to 5th grade topics
MIDDLE: postings for middle school topics
SEC: postings for secondary grades (9 to 12)
HUMOR: jokes/funny stories related to school libraries

We are glad to have you with us on LM_NET!
