Dear LM-Net-ers: I was just asked today to do a presentation for faculty next Tuesday on searching tactics for internet and the do's/don'ts of using information from the web in power point/multimeda. So what I'm looking for are a couple of examples of bogus web sites that you might have used to illustrate the need to evaluate sites for credible, reliable, authentic information. I have lots of copyright information but I'm looking for intersesting scenarios to illustrate points. One I have used before is Walter Matthau's portrayal of Albert Einstein and Paramount having to pay infringement costs for using Einstein's likeness. I read somewhere that Simon Cowell was being sued for copyright infringement for setting up an American Idol show in England--that kind of thing. I'm creating a power point presentation. Please respond to me directly if you have examples to share!! Thanks. Donna Walters Media Center Director Valparaiso High School 2727 N.
