I have a ninth grade English teacher that just mentioned to me that she wants to "do" a different book this year (She has been having her whole class read "To Kill a Mocking Bird for years). 9th grade level... She mentioned Native American fiction... (the mentioned titles, she decided against) then I mentioned some others, she didn't want racial theme.... then we talked about classic books... the ones i mentioned were too long... I would love it if you would share some outstanding titles that your teachers enjoy using, that are good for discussion in a 9th grade English class... Thanks! I appreciate your help!! I'm relatively new again... I was a member before but I couldn't keep up with all the email. :-) But it is great to be back & hear about all your troubles & successes & it is great to see all the library media teachers that are willing to help each other!
