Be sure they have had experience. Also how do they feel about your Library Reconsideration Policy for challenged books? Are they going to let you follow that policy or are they inclined to dictate? Are they liberal enough to handle the edgy YA books that are coming out these days. Judy Blumme is quite tame compared to what we now have. How do they handle irate parents? Will they hold up your Library Policies and back your/committees decisions with the local School Board? This is what I would want to know from a librarian's perspective. Hope this helps.
