Several classes in my school have started working on writing short stories and I am trying to come up with a decent bibliography of picture books that have a strong setting element (I'll be working on characters and problem/resolution later, so I'll take any ideas along these lines too!). I'm new to this school, so I haven't fully learned the collection yet. I'm basically looking for picture books since they are usually a quicker read and can be used to demonstrate how a rich setting positively impacts a story. I'll be happy to post a hit.
