Thanks for everyone's assistance!

Asterix and Obelix
The adventures of Tintin
By Herge

We have Bone, What's Michael, Scary Godmother, some Pokemon, some Star
Wars, Akiko (which doesn't seem to get much use). Don't forget Tintin and
Asterix. We also have the Johnny Mutton books. I have on order a series
requested by some of our girls but I'm at home and forget what it is.
Bone is the most popular so far.

The Hobbit
Sprited Away by Hayao Miyazaki, Follett has reinforced
bindings of this one which you will need because they
will fly off the shelves! Fourth grade LOVES them.

I did a project for a research class on graphic novels last spring. I
had a book about graphic novels that had a suggestion list of GN's that
would fit into even the most conservative library. I think it was:

Gorman, Michelle. Getting Graphic! Using Graphic Novels to Promote
Literacy with Preteen and Teens. Worthington, OH: Linworth, 2003.

Kat Kan often provides good info in his SLJ articles. Try Kan, Kat.
"Getting Graphic at the School library." Library Media Connection,
Apr/May 2003, 21 (7): 14+.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN, L'IL SANTA, by Thierry Robin

Follett has a list of graphic novels sorted by ELEM, Mid, and HS. If you go
into Titlewave it is found in the curriculum tab, under the popular subject
list, scroll down and you can fin it under graphic novels. They have a list
of resources for the 3-5 grade
