[LM_NET] Target: Eskimo book title needed

I posted this a few weeks ago, but received just one lead that I couldn't
track down.  Can anyone help?  I'd love to find a copy for a special
Christmas gift.

The book was published at least 50 years ago, about a man marooned in an
Eskimo village.  The women of the village take care of him while he
recovers from injuries.  As he lives in the village, their ways begin to
change.  Some of the villagers are upset by this, so they kill him.  End
of story.

Also, can anyone help with finding a copy of this mystery book?  Thank you
so much!
