[LM_NET] SEC: looking for book title

Hi,

 

I have a student looking for a book. Here is what she remembers:

 

Straight arrow boy has best friend who drinks. They get in car crash
with some others and best friend dies. Boy feels guilty but doesn't let
anyone in on his pain. He wants to contact friend's mother but feels
guilty he didn't try to stop friend from drinking and driving. He is
suicidal and one day skips school and shoots himself.

 

Sound familiar. She is actually looking for  a subsequent book by this
author that she says we have here but she can't remember the author,
title or characters of the one she read.
