Please excuse the cross-posting. We are currently exploring new methods of service delivery in our children's and YA areas. We are looking for products that are available through subscription online, rather that through the traditional CD ROM format. There seem to be so many conflicts caused amongst the various CD products and staff seem to spend an inordinate amount of time restarting frozen computers. We find that our online products work much more seamlessly. However we are having trouble finding "fun" software, especially for younger children. The free online versions of popular games like "Franklin the Turtle" seem to inevitably contain some sort of sales pitch for CD ROM products. If anyone has found suitable vendors, I would very much appreciate hearing from you.
