Thanks for the many responses. I was personally contacted by the instructor of the University of Wisconsin (Stout) Intermediate Web Design Class using Dreamweaver. He was my instructor four years ago for the University of Iowa Basic Web Design course, which was outstanding. I can't wait to take the course! Small world! Here is info from others: *--- In case you haven't received these suggestions yet, I'd highly recommend these classes from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. I've taken the first one and it was extremely helpful and the instructor was outstanding and went the extra mile to help everyone. http://www.uwstout.edu/soe/profdev/advwebdesign/ Intermediate Web Design: Make Your Website a Learning Center http://www.uwstout.edu/soe/profdev/mediaweb/ Web Design for Media Specialists*---The following may help in the long term .. go to http://www.shambles.net/pages/school/DreamW/ This is actually a subsection of a larger page at http://www.shambles.net/ict/ Where you'll also find links to other support material for Fireworks/Flash etc. *--- You might try http://www.lynda.com you can subscribe to the web site tutorials on many popular software titles for a monthly fee or yearly fee. You can drop your subscription anytime. You can checkout the site for free. I know there are many hours of Macromedia training available. I use it for Dreamweaver training since I can do it at home and at my own pace. You do not have to buy the books that contain exercises that are illustrated. *--- If you are a self-motivated learner, I would highly recommend Annette Lamb's online class: Information Architecture for the Web. You can find the complete syllabus at http://www.eduscapes.com . I have taken this class as well as another from her and they have been among the very best classes I've ever taken. Very intense, but very, very rewarding and practical. *--- I just finished an intro to web page design at www.ed2go. Liked it very much and it was only $69, $115 if you took it for college credit. Theydo offer Dreamweaver, which is the next class I was interested in. Starts Dec. 8th, I believe. They also offered advanced web design, etc. You can enter your zip code and they'll tell you which community colleges in your area you can sign up with. Prices differ some depending on the institution. Or you can go to the webpage of a college you are interested in and look under their continuing ed dept to see if they offer "Ed2Go". *-- Thanks to all who gave me information!
