I always have to smile when people ask this question or are amazed that a school
library would have a Bible. My first question is why shouldn't there be one. I
have always tried to have a copy of the Koran and the Torah in the library along
with books explaining the believes and customs of all the major religions.

When was the last time the ACLU or any of the so called "godless, liberal group"
tried to have a book removed from a library. I still remember attending a
conference workshop on censorship and the presenter talked about how her principal
wanted her to remove all of the controversial books or those that had been censored
-- so she filled a basket and laid the bible on the very top.

The Bible the most censored book in the world.

Subject: [LM_NET] THE HOLY BIBLE

Do any of you, who are public school librarians, have the Holy Bible in your
collection? Reference? Curious about backlash & controversy that you've
encountered, if any.
