I am trying to identify the tribe that was on a record(tape) with filmstrip of a
Native American legend that was about an old woman who loved the butterflies.
Before she died she wanted to see the butterflies again. Her young friends wanted
to pray for this but knew the old woman would not want them to come back just to
die. The frost chief painted all the leaves and as they fell from the trees they
looked like butterflies. And to this day the leaves change colors in the fall and
fall to the ground. It seems like it was a tribe from NY, maybe the Oneida or
Onodaga.

thanks, Tracy Magin
