Fayette County Public Schools in Lexington, Kentucky received a Small Learning
Communities Grant and my high school is going to implement a ninth grade specific
program next year. Because of this grant, every teacher in my building serves on a
research team; mine is instructional practices.
For my current homework assignment, I have been told to ask "real world" folk who
have a ninth grade specific program what is successful. I would appreciate any
response (not just about instructional practices) from those of you in a school
that targets ninth grade somehow, some way. Failure stories welcomed as we need to
know what to avoid as well as what to do. Reply to me off list or at
