Carole Keeton Strayhorn, Texas Comptroller, wants to start the school year
later (after Labor Day) and end it in May.  This means a "compressed" school
year with limited breaks.  It means losing Spring Break and having semester
tests in January after students have been out for Christmas break (a shorter
break).

No matter how you feel, you are welcome to complete the survey her office
