A kindergarten teacher has asked me to focus on Mother Goose rhymes when I see her classes each week because so many of her students have had no prior exposure to them. I have been using traditional collections, such as those by Tomie dePaola and Rosemary Wells, but my media center is short on individual picture books which use the text of a nursery rhyme for the story. (Such as "Mary Had A Little Lamb," which was illustrated by dePaola and "Three Jovial Huntsmen" adapted and illustrated by Susan Jeffers.) I would appreciate any suggestions for titles (out of print is okay, too) and will post a hit. Thanks for your help. -- Connie Parker Media Specialist Haigh and Nowlin Elem Schools Dearborn, MI madamehooch@comcast.net -------------------------------------------------------------------- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
