Hi,

I just got a question from a teacher that I am not sure how to answer. She is on
the school board of a private school. The PTO designed a logo for use on
sweatshirts, etc., with the president doing much of the work and putting things
together. There was a falling out between the PTO president and the rest of the PTO
and school community and the PTO president quit. She is now claiming she owns the
copyright of the logo and will not allow them to order sweatshirts with the logo (a
large order was to go in soon in time for Christmas). Since it was created for the
PTO, does the PTO own the copyright or does the ex-president who did much of the
work? What are your thoughts?
