We have had an HP DesignJet for more than two years. Someone is constantly
using it, and we have found that it is quite economical to operate. Ink
cartridges cost about $50.00 each (the machine takes four), but I've never
had to change the cartridges more than once a year. The rolls of paper are
about $40.00 each, depending on the type.
My machine is an HP DesignJet 500C, 42" carriage. You can look at the specs
and supply costs at http://hpdirect.com . My machine cost about $2600.00
after educational contract discount two years ago, but I believe the cost is
coming down.

We just got a poster maker and are thrilled with it. I use it for signs in
the media center, clubs, pep rally's etc. Lots of uses. We used Audio
