TAR : Fiction spine labels

My district recently bought into the Follett Destiny software package,
and is in the process of building a new library for the middle school.
We've been doing LOTS of cataloging and weeding in preparation for the
move, now that we have new software, and I want to take advantage of
this transitional time to change some parts of the collection that
really need a makeover; in particular, the shelving and spine labels of
the fiction collection.  Currently, the spine labels include only the
first two letters of the author's last name, and I'd like to change them
to read FIC (first three letters of author's last name).  Does anyone
have any thoughts on what to do with the pesky McC/MacC/Mac parts of the
collection?
