TARGET,ELEM: Author visit experiences

I'm trying to plan some author visits in advance for the next few years
and would love to hear about your experiences (positive or negative)
with any of the following authors:

Keiko Kasza
Eileen Christelow
Johanna Hurwitz
Marsha Diane Arnold
Tom Birdseye
Bruce McMillan
Natalie Kinsey Warnock
Rachel Crandell
James Howe
Joseph Bruchac
Eric Kimmel
Andrew Clements

Thanks so much for any information you can provide.  Was the visit a
success?  Did the author have good rapport with students and staff?  Was
the whole event a positive learning experience?  Please respond to me

With the price of author visits so high, it's helpful to hear from
others before trying to book someone.  Thanks in advance for sharing
