My grown son, an engineer, just called with a semi-desperate request: Do I know of any adult-ed courses (like the Kaplan or SAT-prep courses) on how to take notes -- not from books, but during lectures and conversations? Seems he just discovered (!!) that he needs to be able to record salient points during discussions with clients, in order to build what they said they need. I told him to check The Learning Annex/Exchange, and local colleges (he lives in NYC). I suggested bringing a tape-recorder to any future appointments, but beyond that. . . Any other suggestions?
