Poetry contests

Greetings!  I am wondering if you have any experience w/ Creative Communication - 
Poetic Power- A Celebration of Young Poets?

My son was required by his 7th grade English teacher to enter a poetry contest.  He 
was given a flyer for this particular one.  He submitted a poem and was just 
notified that he was selected to be published and that his poem is in the final 
competition.  Of course, it is not necessary  BUT we can purchase a copy of the 
anthology for $19.95 and 4.45 s/h.

Perhaps I am being cynical, but this reminds me of the "art school scholarships" on 
the inside of old matchbooks and backs of comic books.

Just thought some of you might have some information.  Looking forward to hearing 
from you.
