SEC: Challenge Gossip Girl

If you have Gossip Girl by Cecily von Ziegesar in your library, will you
please answer the following questions:

1.      Have you read it?
2.      How do you feel about it?
3.      Does it circulate a lot?
4.      Have the students been talking about it and what do they say?

A parent at our school is most disturbed with this book and our selection
policy that allowed us to purchase it. BTW it is on the ALA 2003 Quick Picks
for Reluctant Young Adult Readers.

The parent also just started out with her complaint with a letter and 45
parent signatures to our School Board. She did not even contact my principal
or me with this book.

We do have a policy for challenged materials and I plan to put in motion.

I need any support, information and help that you can give me.
