I have a family member who recently had some chest pain and over several months she has gone through a battery of tests. Her heart is fine; however, with the results of one test came with a diagnosis of "ground glass aspect" .in both lower lobes (of the lungs). She/we did some internet searching and are not medically savvy enough to understand the terminology (although we did not like some of the terms we saw!). She just had a diagnostic mammogram yesterday and it showed a mass in the right breast. The doctor she was referred to gave her an appointment in two weeks.the anticipation alone is staggering! Can someone explain "ground glass aspect" in layman's terms? Any information you can provide would be appreciated. (She wants to be prepared for her doctor's visit.) Please keep her in your prayers. Please respond to my home email: Stanley@nacs.net Thank you.
