The National Science Digital Library (NSDL) from the National Science
Foundation invites you to "Ask a Scientist or Engineer" during National
Environmental Education Week (April 10-16, 2005) and Excellence in
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Education (ESTEME) Week,
April 11-16, 2005.

"What causes acid rain?"
"Are there any biodegrable plastics?"
"Why is pollution bad for the earth?"

These are just a few of the hundreds of questions children, parents,
teachers, and others can ask of scientists or engineers at the AskNSDL,
the National Science Digital Library's web site. The "Ask a Scientist"
service allows students, parents and educators the opportunity to ask
specific science and technology questions via email or a web form and have
their questions answered by scientists, engineers, mathematicians, and
other related professionals. Scientists from NSF, other participating
agencies and professional associations serve as volunteers and answer
questions to their area of expertise.
