Hideously expensive, aren't they? Still, I'd stick with a name brand. These are high temperature, high pressure items. Some are very specifically tailored to a particular projector or series of projector made by a specific company (i.e. NOT widely interchangeable). A local district (not mine) had an "economy" white box/no brand bulb explode, destroying the LCD projector even though the bulb was listed as a 'direct replacement' and fit the socket. As I understand it, it was purchased from a paper catalog of a company that listed itself as a "bulb wholesaler". Other bulbs for overhead projectors purchased at the same time from that company also arrived in white boxes (some much larger than the bulb), loosely packed in paper, no brand. Some seemed to burn out early, others were noticeably dimmer than the bulbs they replaced. Caveat Emptor! At 10:01 AM 4/6/2005 -0400, you wrote: >Greetings, colleagues.
