[LM_NET] TARGET: Novels on survival, and teacher resources

Greetings!

We're in the process of finishing off our summer required reading lists (all the 
sudden I can't believe how little is left of the year!), and I have a lit teacher 
asking for help.  She'd like to replace Shipwreck at the Bottom of the World with 
another survival-oriented story with at least a mid-7th grade reading level.  Any 
suggestions?

At the moment, I have her looking at Marian Calabro's The Perilous Journey of the 
Donner Party.  Does anyone know of any teacher resources (lesson plans, reading 
guides, any sort of teacher-oriented material) to go with this title?

I'll post a hit of the survival titles as soon as I can get them collated.
