Another teacher and I are interested in compiling a list of "classics" that
students should be familiar with before they enter college. Although we teach
in middle school, we want to encourage our students to read some of the easier
books (such as Call of the Wild and Jane Eyre) and have a list that they can
take on to high school.

I am aware of YALSA's list; however their current list is focused on recently
published titles, not on classics. What I'm looking for are lists that have
already been created so that we can have some sort of reference guide to look
at.

Thanks,
Paige
