Hi to All! I recently posted a question asking about good American Revolution and Civil War fiction for the middle grades. I have gotten several good responses, and now all the 7th and 8th grade social studies and language arts teachers are getting in on the act! They are asking for good historical fiction dealing with the following topics: Colonial America (before the Revolution), life in the colonies relationship between colonial settlers and Native Americans anything that focuses on democracy and freedom of speech and what it's like to NOT have democracy (again, in relationship to colonial America) Plagues and illness in colonial America She would also like some titles that would be good for lower readers - some with girl protagonists, some with boy protagonists! I realize that this is a lot and perhaps a bit vague, but any help would be greatly appreciated! I have had several requests for a hit regarding the American Revolution and Civil War, so I will wait and post a hit that includes any titles that are suggested for these topics as well! Thanks for your help! Julie Purdy Mt.
