Dear Colleagues,

Once again, I am looking for Library Media Specialists who would be
interested in contributing collaborative units of study for two upcoming
books I am writing for Linworth.

The first book will be a new edition of my existing title, Collaborating to
Meet Standards: Teacher/Librarian Partnerships K-6. Have you done a
fabulous unit with your K-2 teachers that focuses on any of the content
areas--science, social studies, math, the arts, foreign language, physical
education, technology? (Read below, if yours is in the Language Arts
area!) If so, I'd love to hear from you.

When I began to gather units for the first edition, in 2000, far fewer
LMS's were collaborating with their primary grade teachers than is true
now. The new edition will be a true K-6 volume, with several units added
to address collaboration in the content areas in Grades K-2. Some of you
may have contacted me last year when I announced a K-2 collaboration book
and offered to contribute. If you have not heard from me recently about
these units, please contact me again, as I lost some contact information
when my computer was stolen at a state library conference in the fall.

The second of the two books will be focused on K-2 language arts/literacy
collaborations, with a working title of Collaborating to Meet Literacy
Standards: Teacher/Librarian Partnerships K-2. Again, if you offered a
unit last year and have not heard from me, contact me again. But I am also
anxious to hear from several more of you as I look for fabulous literacy
collaborations between you and your teachers in the primary grades.

Thanks for your help!

All Best,
Toni (hanging in the sky above, hmmmm, perhaps Oklahoma?)
