[LM_NET] TAR: shelving story collections

As a new high school librarian, I'm trying some changes in the library.
There's a small story collection section  (multiple stories in one
volume).  They haven't circulated.  I'm considering inter-shelving them
with the rest of the fiction.  The students tend to select fiction while
browsing the collection much more than after referring to the OPAC.
Comments about this practice would be welcome.
