I am planning my first public relations event for my staff. I am calling it
a "Book Look". I have several new books and videos coming in and I plan to
set them out along with copies of the teacher magazines I subscribe to. I
am going to have a TV/VCR available so they can preview parts of the new
videos they requested, and I'll have the SMART Board set up for those who
are always saying they want to try it out and never do. I may even put out
some of our oldie but goodie books that some teachers still don't realize we
have. I'm going to offer refreshments and have it open all day. I will put
invitations in all the teacher boxes and notices up around the building. I
also want to have pamphlets available on that day to showcase all the things
I have to offer. I plan to remind them of the databases and websites that
we subscribe to along with our magazine subscriptions. I'll put in a note
about different services I do for teachers such as pulling books on specific
topics or finding websites for a certain lesson, and I'll highlight some
things from our website.

My question is this: What would you include in a public relations pamphlet
for your staff?
