Does anyone know of any specific places where I can find what the idea condition is for a library? My library was nearing 85 degrees today due to the heating units in the building not properly working. It seems all the building's heat is coming into the library and not going to the classrooms. The teachers have already talked to union reps about the fact that the administration isn't being speedy about getting the issue resolved. It never got above freezing outside today. When I mentioned in passing to my principal (who has an MLIS degree but has never used it) that this much dry, heat doesn't do the books any good - the are better in a colder climate. He mocked me and told me to open the windows. Once I did that, you could hear the heating unit kick in several times. I was furious. Now, I want to prove to him that I am right and he is wrong. Help me! Thanks! Hilary L. Grant Media Specialist Highland Middle School 305 N.
