Can any of you share information on these? I have found myself on a committee to develop one for our school. We visited a school with one this morning; it looks like a powerful tool, but where to start? what to include? This wall involves a card for each student with stickers on the card showing if they are free/reduced lunch, GT, special ed, etc. Names are on the back of the cards and the wall is in a room where parents do not visit/meet, etc. The cards are placed under BELOW BASIC, BASIC, COMPETENT, or ADVANCED...the levels of our state tests--for literacy, math, etc. It helps the staff focus on the needs of specific students and move them along each nine weeks as they progress. Assessment is of upmost importance, of course. Anyway, we will be doing it but the principal has asked us for input from other schools. This probably does not make a bit of sense if your school does not use one. If you DO have experience with one of these assessment walls, please share how you started, what you included, any ideas.
