Our district does a lot of work with lexiles. Right now I'm trying to
find the "silver" bullet that can provide staff information when
determining how many years behind a student might be with regard to
their lexile. There's some cross over between grade levels and making a
direct correlation is difficult but I was hoping that there was
something that provided a specific range, with no overlap, between the
grades. That way I could say that a fifth grade with a lexile of 500 is
2 years below grade level and then score him/her accordingly. Does
anyone know of such a chart or device?
