[LM_NET] TAR: SEC Grapes of Wrath

I have a TAG teacher looking for other pieces of literature, poetry or prose, that 
might have similar sub-themes as Steinbeck's Grapes of Wrath. She suggested topics 
such as: 

Nature Economics
Hispanic farm workers
World Ag
Forces beyond man's control
Dispossessed

Any ideas?
