One of the teachers at my school is looking for a short story called "A Pint of Sense." It's about a little girl who asks her mother what she wants for Christmas and her mother responds with "A pint of sense." She thinks she means "a pint of CENTS" and she saves up her money and exchanges it for change to fill a pint jar, then gives that as a present to her mother. The teacher says it's by Lori someone (she remembered the last name as I was leaving school this evening and I can't remember it now, but it ended with "-ski"). Does anyone know of a book that contains this short story?
