What a day of technology screw-ups...I have to share this, though.
With two research classes in the library this morning, our airport
decided to hiccup while students had accessed their network files. This
hiccup caused wholesale corruption of files: 30 students facing the loss
of their Lang. Arts papers in final draft form. Another class in the
Computer Lab was having trouble accessing one of the most popular
databases, etc. etc. As we were scrambling to help everyone, one junior
shook her head and remarked, "Man. You guys need to know so much just to
work in here." Gotta love it. (I wish her mother were still on the
board!) Anyways, it's time to go home...
