[LM_NET] Target: Childhood Favorite

Hi All,
 
 
One of my teacher's is trying to find a friend's favorite book from  
childhood (she's hoping to locate it for a Christmas present).  All she  knows is 
that 
it was a chapter book with a yellow cover.  It was about a  family of 
children (she thinks 4) whose mother has died.  The father is  aloof and she thinks 
may have been a captain (not sure about the  captain part).  Any ideas?
