Dear Colleagues,

Can you recommend recently produced DVDs or videos (post 2002) for sixth
and seventh grade students on the following topics?

Regions:
1. Africa (specifically Kenya/Tanzania)
2. Southeast Asia (specifically Cambodia)
3. Latin America/South America

Cultural journeys (perhaps vignettes about people in these cultures):
1. Maasai
2. Cambodian refugees during the Khmer Rouge (or if not possible, stories
of refugees--maybe children, in present day, other parts of world)
3. Sixth grade-friendly Israeli/Palestinian portrayal. Again, anything from
a kid's point of view
4. Or if not Israel, other middle eastern countries--Saudi Arabia, Oman,
etc. What it's like to live there, a kid's perspective?

Thank you very much.

BTW, if you have snow falling, snowman in Japanese is yukidaruma.

Best regards,
