Some of you might like to view this site from PNC Bank. It would be especially useful for economics teachers. Mine plans to project the presentation for his students between testing. You do need flash enabled in your browser. There are links for teachers and students that are fun and informative. BTW- one of my sons worked on this in prior years. :-) Now some of his colleagues are working on it. They would really appreciate any suggestions or comments about how useful it might be for educators. They pushed the project with the bank since teachers wrote in asking them to keep doing it after the first time. They are looking for “negatives” or improvements, I’m sure that they would appreciate any positive comments as well! Below is the info the bank posts and the links: The True Cost of the 12 Days of Christmas How much do you spend on your true love's Christmas present? Well, if you wanted to give the gifts of the yuletide classic The 12 Days of Christmas, it would cost you $72,608.02. Yes, you read that correctly, over $72,000. Apparently, love can be very costly. Since 1984, PNC Advisors has been calculating the cost of Christmas. Each year, the PNC Christmas Price Index provides an interesting perspective on the events and news that helped shape the economy during the year. For a historical look at PNC’s Index, please visit our new website at http://www.pncchristmaspriceindex.com/. The site contains interactive activities, annual results and trends, a Flash presentation, MP3 download, and much more, for trend-watchers, educators and children.
