[LM_NET] GEN: Patriot Act

Per Yahoo News (via Associated Press), the House and Senate have agreed
to renew the Patriot Act for 4 years, including the provisions regarding
libraries. The library provisions would expire in 4 years unless
renewed, while other aspects of the Act would become permanent,
according to the article. Sen. John Cornyn of Texas said that the deal
should "satisfy everyone," but the ACLU is not pleased and claims the
Act intrudes too far into the personal lives of innocent Americans.
