My daughter's fiance wrote to me today asking for a suggestion for a
book for a 4 year old. He has some very specific ideas, and I am too
many years away from children's literature to be of any help. Ideas? I
will pass the info on to him. Thanks for your help. Here is what he is
looking for:
"I am hoping you may have some book suggestions for my neice (4 1/2).
I'm putting together a little box of fun stuff for her to take
camping when she goes with the family. I would like a book of very
short adventurous/funny stories that talk about nature, camping,
animals, etc. that the family can read around the campfire. The kids
are a little too young for ghost stories, unless they were funny and not
scary, but hopefully you can see what I'm trying to get at."
