[LM_NET] Book Title Picture Book

I have a teacher looking for the title of a children's book. In the story a 
family in an apartment building buys a Christmas tree that is too tall. They 
have to cut a hole in the ceiing so the tree goes up to the next floor. This 
continues until the top of the tree is in the apartment of a little old lady 
who lives at the very top of the building.  

Any ideas?
